I love the Olympics. I mean, I really LOVE the Olympics!! 🙂 I love watching the American flag being raised as the Star Spangled Banner is playing and looking at the smiling face of the newest gold medal winner. I love looking at the faces of the family members of that winner. I love the behind the scenes stories. See, I told you lots and lots of love!!!
The other thing I find fascinating about the Olympic Games is that for two weeks, we are all united as Americans. In the midst of “Black Lives Matter”, “All Lives Matter”, and the presidential campaigning going on it is nice to have a breather and remember that we are all the same. As we cheer on our country, we aren’t focused on their skin color, gender, or political affiliation. We just see America. The wonderful United States of America.
I believe that this unity is how God wants us to live. We are all made in His image and therefore we are all united in that. How comforting is that? When the world is going crazy over all these flesh items, we should all be remembering that we are His and therefore brothers and sisters. God loves each one of us all the same. We are all His children.
So here’s the Olympics helping us all to remember we are all united and we are all being cheered on by our Biggest Fan…our Heavenly Father.
Oh…..and GO TEAM USA!!!!!!!!!!
