Back to School 2017

As this is being posted, Jake and I are about to head out the door to drop BOTH of our kids off at school for the first time ever!!  Yes, twice a week this mama will have no kids all day long.  It is hard to believe!!

We know this is going to be an emotional day for us.  Therefore, we decided Jake should take today off of work so we could spend it together.  I’m sure when it comes time to leave the kids at school, Colton and I will need to be forced apart.  Carson cannot wait to be back at school.

Today’s blog will focus on scriptures for us to pray over our kids this school year.  Those of you that are not dealing with first day jitters, you could pray these over your grandkids, or kids of your friends.

Back to School Scriptures:

For a positive attitude:
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
Psalm 19:14

For knowledge:
Intelligent people are always ready to learn.  Their ears are open for knowledge.
Proverbs 18:15

Those times when there is so much work to do:
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:29-31

For healthy relationships:
Walk with the wise and become wise;  associate with fools and get in trouble.
Proverbs 13:20

For courage:
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.
Joshua 1:9

Respecting Others:
Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.
Matthew 7:12

I would love to know your favorites to pray over your kids as well.  Please share them in the comments below.

Now, to find my tissues and take my kids to school.

Have a wonderful week friends.

Matthew 7:12 is one of my favorite verses. I try to always follow this scripture. You will survive this and many other “firsts” along your trail as parents. You will always “love one another” forever and always. Love you all 4 ❤️
